Easter People #24: Breaking the silence about money in church

It’s stewardship time in many of our congregations, and that means doing what we don’t do enough: talk about money in church. The Easter People do so with their usual optimism and whimsy. They also play “The Price Is Right” church-style and share their Green Shoots.

Welcome to guest host José Reyes, VTS senior and pastor of Iglesia San Marcos in Alexandria.

Also, Kyle wants to disclose that “money is sacramental; it makes things happen” came from an Alan Jones sermon from after the financial crisis (if his memory can be believed).

Randall Curtis (@randallcurtis), Jason Evans (@jasonevans), Lisa Kimball (@kimball_lisa), and Kyle Oliver (@kmoliver) are four friends who work for the church but not in a church. They get together a couple times a month to talk about the stuff that matters to them: faith, culture, learning, and service.
