Greetings and thank you for a warm welcome! My name is Matthew Kozlowski, and I am honored to join the team at the Center for the Ministry of Teaching as Associate for Faith and Media. I plan to be a regular contributor to this site.
I recently moved back to the Virginia/DC area to pursue doctoral studies at the School of Theology and Religious Studies at the Catholic University of America. Fortunately, I am also able to work part time with the CMT. I will be taking on special projects, collaborating with faculty, and doing whatever I can to proclaim the love of God in Jesus Christ through media, technology, and anything else we happen to think up.
I am an ordained Episcopal priest, having recently served as the Assistant Rector at St. Mary’s in Stuart, Florida. My wife Danielle is my partner in life and ministry, and we are doing our best to raise up two future leaders: Maria (age 3) and Grace (age 3 months). We live in Alexandria, where we worship and serve at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. We own far too many strollers.
Here’s a basic statement: people are hungry for God. This isn’t a “new generation” thing—the hunger is found in people of all ages and all backgrounds. People have always been hungry for God, it’s just that the “places” to feed that hunger have changed over time.
Today many “places” are online, and as more and more of us live out part of our lives in the digital world, there is a great need for Christians to tell their stories (and ask their questions) through digital media. You can call it evangelism; you can call it conversation; you can call it sharing. I’m glad to join in the feeding, and the feasting.
Thanks again! I am thrilled and honored to be part of the Key Resources team.
