Hello from Alexandria, where educators and communications professionals from around the country have gathered for a conference on “Faith Formation for a Connected, Digital World.”  This is the e-Formation Conference!

The highlights from Monday (day 1) included an inspiring morning worship featuring multilingual prayers, readings, and songs.

At the plenary session, participants loosened up, as we found out a bit more abut each other and where we came from. Then more conversation followed as we shared with those around us what we were hoping to learn and it would impact our ministry.

The morning and afternoon workshops had something for everyone—from the more practical (web design) to the more theoretical (using social media to embrace the sacred).

In addition to the participants here at Virginia Theological Seminary, many more enjoyed sessions via Webinar.

After dinner, we were treated to a brilliant presentation by Sarah Lefton. She had the whole crowd laughing, thinking, and hoping for the future as she detailed her exciting journey of the G-dcast program.

Check out pictures from the afternoon here on our Facebook page! And follow the e-Formation Conference via hashtag #eform14.
